ShareWorld Coupon Book What is AP?

The Advanced Placement Program (AP) offers a college-level curriculum at high schools in America and Canada. AP tests are scored on a bell curve grading scale of 1 - 5. Scoring well on an AP test can earn college credit and / or exempt a student from taking introductory courses. Doing well on AP courses demonstrates commitment and passion for a subject as well as the maturity and ability to do well with college-level material. AP courses and tests are not required but recommended. For more information and specific registration and test dates for AP tests, visit www.collegeboard.com.
*It is not mandatory to be enrolled in an AP course to take an AP test.

Why should I enroll in AP courses?

  • Challenge yourself and build up knowledge on academic subjects
  • Add an extra point to your GPA with a passing grade
  • Earn college credit with a passing grade on the AP exam
  • Make yourself a more competitive college admissions candidate
